Letzte Woche beschlossen <b>meine Frau Sabrina, unser 11-j\u00e4hriger Sohn Leon und ich<\/b>\u00a0unserem gem\u00fctlichen H\u00e4uschen &#8222;Suite Leon&#8220; in Panormos f\u00fcr einen Tag den R\u00fccken zu kehren und uns auf den Weg nach Rethymno zu machen \u2013 eine Entscheidung, die wir, <b>obwohl wir die Stadt schon oft besucht haben,<\/b> keine Sekunde bereut haben. Rethymno offenbart uns einfach jedes Mal einen besonderen Zauber.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #000000;\">P\u00fcnktlich um 8:30 Uhr starteten wir mit unserem Mietwagen in Panormos, die Vorfreude auf einen bekannten, aber immer wieder neuen Ort im Gep\u00e4ck. Die Fahrt entlang der K\u00fcste war schon f\u00fcr sich genommen ein Genuss, doch Rethymno selbst \u00fcbertraf unsere Erwartungen einmal mehr. Es ist nicht das blitzblank polierte Touristenzentrum, das man manchmal findet. Stattdessen empf\u00e4ngt es einen mit einer wunderbaren Mischung aus venezianischer Eleganz und osmanischem Erbe, die sich in jeder Gasse und jedem Geb\u00e4ude widerspiegelt. Die Stadt hat einen unverwechselbaren, authentischen Charakter &amp; es gibt eine Menge Eisdielen f\u00fcr Leon:). Man sp\u00fcrt sogar die Geschichte in den alten Steinen, h\u00f6rt das lebhafte Treiben der Einheimischen und riecht die Aromen der kretischen K\u00fcche. Es ist diese <b>vertraute, aber doch immer wieder neue Atmosph\u00e4re<\/b>, die uns immer wieder hierher zur\u00fcckziehen l\u00e4sst, bei jedem Besuch in Suite Leon<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #000000;\">Was Rethymno so besonders macht, ist seine Lebendigkeit gepaart mit einer angenehmen Entschleunigung. Es ist eine Stadt, die zum Flanieren einl\u00e4dt, zum Entdecken kleiner Details und zum Verweilen in charmanten Caf\u00e9s, auch wenn meine Frau keinen Kaffee trinkt, der frisch gepresste Orangensaft ist auch super;). \u00dcberall st\u00f6\u00dft man auf historische Elemente, sei es ein alter Brunnen, ein verziertes Holzfenster oder ein kleiner Innenhof, der zum Verweilen Nicht einmal, sondern mehrfach, was aber typisch f\u00fcr uns ist! Die kleinen, verwinkelten Gassen der Altstadt sind ein Labyrinth aus Kopfsteinpflaster, bunten Gesch\u00e4ften und kleinen Tavernen. Doch dieses \u201eVerirren\u201c war kein \u00c4rgernis, sondern ein Teil des Reizes. Es f\u00fchrte uns zu versteckten Pl\u00e4tzen, unerwarteten Ausblicken und dem Gef\u00fchl, wirklich in das lokale Leben einzutauchen. Jedes Mal, wenn wir dachten, wir h\u00e4tten uns orientiert, tauchte eine neue Gasse auf, die uns in eine andere Richtung lockte \u2013 und wir lie\u00dfen uns nur zu gerne darauf ein. <b>Besonders f\u00fcr Leon war es ein kleines Abenteuer, die n\u00e4chste Ecke zu erkunden, inklusive ganz viel Eis!<\/b> Und selbst nach so vielen Besuchen gibt es in Rethymnos Altstadt immer wieder Neues zu #000000;\">Nachdem wir uns ausgiebig durch die Gassen treiben lie\u00dfen und die historischen St\u00e4tten erkundet hatten, meldete sich der Hunger. Wir fanden ein kleines, unscheinbares Lokal, das uns mit seiner authentischen Atmosph\u00e4re und den k\u00f6stlichen Gerichten sofort in seinen Bann zog. Ein einfacher, aber unwiderstehlicher griechischer Salat, frischer Fisch, Pommes f\u00fcr Leon und dazu der obligatorische Raki \u2013 so schmeckt Kreta! Das Mittagessen war ein perfekter Moment, um das bunte Treiben der Stadt von au\u00dfen zu beobachten.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; color: #000000;\">Der Nachmittag geh\u00f6rte dann dem gro\u00dfen \u00f6ffentlichen Strand von Rethymno. Nach den vielen Schritten durch die Altstadt war die Abk\u00fchlung im Meer und das entspannte Sonnenbad genau das Richtige. Der Strand ist weitl\u00e4ufig und gut gepflegt, und wir genossen die M\u00f6glichkeit, uns einfach treiben zu lassen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen, bevor wir uns langsam auf den Heimweg Uhr traten wir die R\u00fcckfahrt nach Panormos an, erf\u00fcllt von den Eindr\u00fccken dieses wundersch\u00f6nen Tages. Und nat\u00fcrlich durften die passenden Mitbringsel nicht fehlen: <b>Wir haben leckeren Raki und das fantastische kretische Oliven\u00f6l f\u00fcr unsere Familien zu Hause mitgenommen.<\/b> Rethymno hat uns mit seinem einzigartigen Charakter, seinen charmanten Gassen und seiner entspannten Atmosph\u00e4re wie immer vollkommen \u00fcberzeugt. Es ist eine Stadt, die man nicht nur einmal besucht, sondern immer wieder entdecken m\u00f6chte.
